Selene, a young scientist obsessed with freeing humanity from Their control, from what she believes is the oppressive or unfair hand of Their destiny. In a surreal confrontation with Azrael, the angel of death, she challenges the idea that suffering, pain and mortality are part of Theirs design. But when she destroys Azrael and assumes power, the world bends before her, and the freedom she promised becomes a burden she cannot escape. She becomes the very authoritative, she sought to destroy, discovering that absolute freedom may be its own prison.
