The Hotel California is an experimental, dreamlike romantic film about two people trapped in their separate relationships who meet during a two-week stay at a hotel that exists outside ordinary life. In this suspended space, Bonnie and Nkanyezi slowly fall in love not through grand gestures but through shared silences, conversations and the quiet permission to be themselves. The hotel functions as a liminal space, neither home nor destination, where desire is allowed to surface without consequences. As reality presses in, their connection spills into fantasy.
