House of Allen follows Allen, a monster who has lived alone in an abandoned house for years. He has watched many families move in, argue, and fall apart, and now believes human relationships are never worth the pain. To avoid being hurt, he scares people away before they can connect with him. When siblings Tiffany and Danny move in, they become the latest intruders in his quiet life. From Allen’s perspective, they are invading his home; from the siblings’ perspective, they are being haunted by a terrifying monster. Allen’s goal is to avoid the pain of human connection by getting them out of the house, but they do not scare easily, forcing him into repeated contact with them. He first tries to scare them directly, then makes the house seem unsafe and ‘falling apart’ so they will leave voluntarily. As he watches them argue, reconcile, and care for each other, his belief that relationships always end badly is challenged. When they finally decide to leave, he panics and stops them, accepting them as companions and turning his haunted house into a shared home.
