In a tightly controlled small town where patriarchal traditions dictate women’s choices, a young artist trapped in a suffocating marriage discovers a hidden pregnancy and a sinister betrayal, pushing her to take drastic action to escape and reclaim her freedom. The Modern Prometheus is a psychological thriller and feminist horror story set in a claustrophobic small-town society, echoing Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in spirit but centring the modern female struggle for bodily autonomy.
