Kagiso, a young merman burdened by a mysterious ancestral legacy, is called by the glowing spirit of his late father to seek a hidden treasure buried deep in the ocean’s trenches. Accompanied by his starfish friend, Nikelo, Kagiso dives into a surreal quest across fantastical seascapes where fear takes physical form. Tempted by quick fixes and pressured by a legacy of “strength,” Kagiso faces trials that force him to question what kind of merman he truly wants to be.
