Synopsis The characters share their experiences of being Born in the RSA and the limitations and forms of oppression they experienced either based on their own actions or their countries sociological orientation. The central conflict that brings their individual stories together is the story of Dumisani, a 10 year old boy who is a victim of the country's law enforcement officers to indicate that all characters are victims of either the past or present institutions and their laws. Glen and Zachariah share their stories from the time of the state of emergency in 1985, where they express opinions on race, growing up in certain areas with various socio-economic issues due to the authorities of the apartheid regime and relationships with fellow characters. Mia retells events that drive the past experiences into the present through the lens of the law, while the others share them in the present SA society -2024. They reference their childhood, their professions.
