In the remote countryside, a peaceful close-knit family’s life is disrupted by a sinister force that is determined to ruin their lives. Following the untimely passing of his wife, Nolubabalo. Mlungisi and Nonkanyiso, his teenage daughter, lives begins to crumble. Mlungisi, a jaded railway worker, struggles to find peace because of a crippling grief that constantly haunts him. He makes a deal with a mysterious traveller who brings back his wife's spirit at a heavy price. The ceremonies they perform to evoke his wife's spirit have fatal consequences on his daughter’s health. In order to keep his wife’s spirit he must make a difficult decision.
