We find that Nonku is living happily in the joyous utopia that Christine has created for her participants in the Tart program, but she grows suspicious of her surroundings, of Lisa, and of Christine after she has been inhibited from eating her Tart. She finds that the world around her is fading and that her memories of her trauma have become more clear at the same time.
