Akuji, a young man in his prime, has no purpose in life until Seraphina, a lost little girl, gives him a purpose. She is also taken away from him. Not content with letting her go, he grasps onto her ascending spirit and finds himself transported to the Limbo Tide, a dark and mysterious place where he must fight his way back to Earth, going through his traumatic past, or be lost in the Limbo Tide forever.
