The Hangman in competition @ LA Shorts International Festival

The multi-award winning South African short film, “The Hangman”, directed by AFDA honours alumnus Zwelethu Radebe, has been selected to screen in competition at the LA Shorts International Festival 2018.

A big congratulations to the cast and crew and a special thumbs up to the AFDA alumni -  Ofentse Mwase, Tebogo Keebine, Kearen Pennells, William Kalmer and Keisha Bonisa who all worked in key positions on The Hangman. 

LA Shorts International Film Festival ranks among the most prestigious and largest international short film festivals in the world. The festival is accredited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. Now in its 22nd year, LA Shorts is the first and longest running short film festival in Los Angeles. The festival attracts Hollywood industry professionals and emerging undiscovered independent filmmakers.

2018 LA Shorts will showcase 333 short films from 23 countries take place July 25 – August 2. The Festival presents industry master classes, workshops, panel discussions free of charge for participating  filmmakers.
